It was a great battle between the Longhorns and the Tigers. Both outstanding teams were in the championship game and both did an outstanding job. I am proud of the Longhorns for getting this far. But I am extremely proud of my Tigers for holding on. The 2 games before last nights were a challenge.
Congratulations to Head coach Paul Mainieri for winning his 1st College World Series and to all the players. We are so proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!!
